The park was designed by Sir Joseph Paxton and is a classic example of a Victorian Park with its overreaching grandeur. Set on the banks of the River Kelvin, the park's atmosphere is complimented and enhanced by the beautifully designed Art Gallery and Museum prominently featured within it. The paths through the park follow the meandering River Kelvin and cross it at many points, you will be able to take in a lot of beauty as you walk along them. Used by many joggers and dog walkers, the park is always alive with people and animals. The River walkway is an especially peaceful natural haven with a diverse range of wild life.
